J and I decided to pop to Saint André on 13 November as the weather is starting to get cold and the next few weekends are very busy. We left around 09h30 and did the trip in 2hours 5mins which is the best it gets and the roads were quiet. All was ok at the house. The boiler had been serviced the day before and we have an almost full fioul tank so we are ready…. We made sure all the radiators were on and ran the taps so they were empty. We stayed less than an hour but it was reassuring to go. I left the boiler on hors gel so I can switch it on with my mobile when it gets really cold. We went to Cluny as J wanted a haircut from the only barber that understands his hair apparently but when we got there he was not there. It was lunchtime though so we decided to eat and then see if he came back. We tried a few restaurants but there were full so we ended up a the Nation which had one spare table. J had snails, bavette and a café gourmand. I had beef bourguignon with gratin. Afterwards we went back to the hairdresser and happily he was back and could squeeze J in. I popped to bakers and then 10 mins later J was shorn and very pleased with the result. We then left and motored home.
