Weekend de Pentecôte 2023

We left home on a warm and sunny Saturday morning. It has been quite a cool spring and from the plants in my garden I think we are three weeks behind the past two years. We decided to stop in Macon and managed to find a parking space right outside the Ponte Loco only to find it is shut on Saturday lunch - we may have know and forgotten. We walked through the market - it was getting very hot. We called the Forum in Cluny and managed to get a table. As we were driving on the fast road I got the loss of tyre pressure signal but we were already half way there so we carried on and had pizza. After pizza and because no garage in Cluny is open on Saturday afternoon we drive back to Macon and they checked my tyres at Feu Vert. Off we went back towards Cluny - no warning message and arrived at the house mid afternoon. Lots of weeds in the front garden we had to shove the gate open. We unpacked and chilled out. There were some nice flowers in the garden and my shady border seemed to be doing well. 

On Sunday A and I went to the baker and bought 2 days of supplies as they don’t open Monday. Luckily there was still enough stock. We had breakfast outside and then went off to the puces in Salornay. We arrived at 09h45 and there were already lots of people and it was getting hot. It’s quite a big one and we looked round for over an hour a half. I got a bird cage for a bargain 3€ that I will put some vintage birds in. We then came home and read most of the afternoon in the garden. We had a late bbq. A and I went for an evening stroll and went into the church and saw the stained glass window reflect on the altar.

On Monday we had a lie in and again the weather was beautiful and sunny so it seems summer has arrived at last. After breakfast outside we left around 10h15 and had a clear run home.
