J and I left for the house on Sat 10 March. We hit a traffic jam as soon as we got on the motorway and remembered that it was the end of the Paris holidays so they were all headed home. It added about 30 mins to the whole trip. We arrived just after 12h. The house seemed fine although there wa hardly any fioul left. We settled in and did some cleaning. Went for a walk - it was very very windy but quite mild. The gardener had trimmed the 2 apple trees and the garden looks under control. In the evening we went to the tiny La Locanda restaurant- it can only sit 8! Food was delicious. I had a St Marcellin done in the oven with truffles- tooo good and J had a potiron flan. Then he had tagliatelle with duck and porc ans I had gnocchi with Gorgonzola and radicchio. For dessert we shared a tiramisu and a cake from Capri made without flour.

There was loads of rain over night and after a lie in I went to the baker to get breakfast. After eating we went over to the Sunday market - it is a eco friendly one that takes surplus stock and sells it slightly cheaper as well as employing people with learning difficulties. It was very busy and it is so nice to see that the village is drawing in people.
