Kelly and the Van

Since we have accepted an offer on our Logras house and the fact that we will be downsizing to an apartment in Ferney at some point we have been looking at our furniture and deciding what could be rehomed to St. André. We had a sofa in the cellar room that was always supposed to be for St. André but never had a way of getting it there. Enter Kelly our van driving saviour. We hired a van on Friday 12 May after work from Thoiry and managed to fill it up in the evening rain. This included an extremely heavy sink that we had been given many years ago. I repeat it was mega heavy and the three of us barely managed.

Given all our physical effort we went off for a well deserved lunch at the Etape Charollaise. It must have been our reward that the main course of the menu du jour was canard parmentier. The beef and duck parmentier that they do there are my absolute favs. The starter was quiche with salad, then parmentier, then cheese and then a warm sponge tart. We all enjoyed it immensly. We then popped back to the house for a quick coffee and then headed back to drop the van back just before 17. A tiring day but very productive.
